pH Test Paper - 80 Strips

A pH test strip is a strip of litmus paper used to measure the pH value of a liquid. The indicator in the paper shows a different colour at different levels of acidity. Dip part of the strip into the liquid you want to test and watch the colour change. The included colour-coded scale shows the pH based on the colour the paper turns. For example, a dark greenish-blue reading indicates a pH of around 11 to 14.

Match the strip's colour to the scale within 15 seconds of dipping it, for the most accurate result. It's quick and easy to use, giving a reliable general reading for the acidity or alkalinity of any liquid, which makes it ideal for water quality, soil, aquariums, and science education, as well as general lab use.

Product Limitations

This universal pH indicator is not recommended for testing urine, saliva, or cosmetic products:

• Urine and Saliva: Body fluids sit within a narrow pH range (typically 4.5 to 8.0). Because these strips change colour in wide 1.0 pH increments, they lack the precision needed for medical or health tracking.
• Cosmetic Products: Thick, opaque, or emulsified items like creams and lotions coat the paper rather than reacting with it, and tinted formulas stain the strip, making the colour chart impossible to read accurately.

Instructions:

1. Press the strip to the liquid or surface you're testing. After about a second, remove it and compare the colour change against the included colour chart to read the acidity level.
2. Compare the result within 15 seconds for accuracy.
3. The strips can't detect an acid or alkali solution below 0.01% concentration.
4. Store the remaining strips in a clean, dry place after use.

The scale reads from pH 1 to 14:

• 1-3: very acidic
• 4-6: acidic
• 7: neutral
• 8-11: alkaline
• 12-14: very highly alkaline
