Check that lamp holders match the base type of the bulbs you're ordering, typically a small MES E10 screw fitting for classroom demonstration circuits, so components connect without adapters.

A single demonstration circuit needs only one of each component, but hands-on practicals need a full class set. Order wire by length and bulbs and holders by the piece to match your class size.

A basic circuits lesson needs bulbs, lamp holders, connecting wire and a battery pack. SmartLabs sells each of these individually, so you can build up a class set of circuit-building components at whatever pace suits your budget.

By weight on a reel, not by the metre. Copper comes on 250g reels in 14 to 32 SWG, nichrome on 125g reels in 18 to 32 SWG, and Eureka constantan in 125g from 16 to 34 SWG. How many metres you get depends on the gauge. 125g of 18 SWG nichrome is roughly 15m, the same weight in 32 SWG is roughly 304m.
