EISCO (133)

EISCO, which stands for Electronic Instrumentation, is a family-owned global company that primarily manufactures and distributes scientific equipment, apparatus, and consumables for education, research, and industrial use. They are known for providing high-quality lab equipment for biology, chemistry, and physics.

The brand Eisco was established in 1968 by two brothers, Mr. KK and Mr. PK Jain. However, the business traces its roots back to the 1940s, when their father, Mr. J.P. Jain relocated to Ambala, India, to start a new life trading science equipment.

SmartLabs is proud to stock a wide range of EISCO products in South Africa, providing reliable and affordable scientific equipment for schools, universities, and research facilities across the country.

Who is EISCO?

EISCO (Electronic Instrumentation Scientific Company) is a family-owned scientific equipment manufacturer based in Ambala, India, with roots going back to the 1940s. The brand itself was formally established in 1968 by brothers KK and PK Jain, continuing a business their father started trading science equipment. EISCO now manufactures and distributes apparatus for education, research, and industrial use worldwide.

SmartLabs stocks a wide EISCO range across physics demonstration apparatus, biology and anatomy models, optics kits, and lab cleaning brushes. It is an Educational-grade range: reliable, classroom-ready equipment priced for schools, universities, and research facilities across South Africa.

EISCO's product range

Four categories make up the core of what SmartLabs stocks from EISCO.

  • EISCO physics demonstration apparatus

    Physics demonstration apparatus

Van de Graaff generators, ticker tape timers, galvanometers, and Boyle's Law apparatus bring abstract physics concepts to life at the front of a classroom. EISCO's demonstration range covers electricity, magnetism, mechanics, and motion topics across the CAPS Physical Sciences curriculum.

  • EISCO biology and anatomy models

    Biology and anatomy models

Skulls, DNA helices, organ models, and plant and cell division models give learners a three-dimensional view of structures they would otherwise only see in a textbook. EISCO models are hand-painted with clear anatomical detail, built for repeated classroom handling.

  • EISCO optics and light kit

    Optics and light kits

Boxed prism and lens sets let learners split white light into a visible spectrum, explore refraction, and build simple ray diagrams. These kits are a staple of the Grade 10 to 12 Light and Optics topic in Physical Sciences.

  • EISCO lab cleaning brushes

    Lab cleaning brushes

EISCO's brush range covers test tubes, pipettes, flasks, burettes, and cylinders, each shaped to the glassware it cleans. Bristle heads on stainless steel wire handles reach the base of narrow vessels without scratching the glass.
