What is a centrifuge tube?
A centrifuge tube is a tapered, thick-walled tube built to hold a sample while it spins at high speed. The walls take the force without flexing and the conical bottom gathers the solid material into a tight point, so you can pour off the liquid above it without disturbing what settled. That pointed pellet is the whole reason the shape exists.
SmartLabs stocks sizes from 1.5ml micro tubes up to 50ml conical, in polypropylene and in graduated borosilicate glass. Choose flat or blue screw caps, free standing or round bottomed, sterile or non sterile, sold singly, in packs or in bulk bags.
