These free-standing centrifuge tubes have a blue screw cap, are individually packed, EO sterile and graduated. Centrifuge tubes are lab containers for separating, isolating and storing the components of a liquid mixture by spinning them at high speed. These are made from polypropylene with a leak-proof blue HDPE screw cap, a skirted base and white graduations.

When a tube spins in a centrifuge, the force separates substances by density:

• Pellet: Denser material (like cells or solid particles) is pushed to the bottom, forming a "pellet".
• Supernatant: The lighter liquid stays on top and is called the "supernatant".
