Structures Project Kits

Structures kits for CAPS Technology, Grades 7 to 9. These cover the design and building side of the Structures content area: trusses, frames, arches and towers that a learner assembles and tests against a load or a brief.

What is the Structures content area in CAPS Technology?

Structures covers how a shape carries a load, trusses, frames, arches and towers, and why some shapes are stronger than others for the same amount of material. A Structures PAT asks a learner to design, build and usually test a structure against a stated load or span.

These kits scope that brief for you: a truss bridge, a lattice tower, or a braced frame, built from the same materials a real structure would use in miniature.
