Glass pipettes are for work where the volume has to be right. A volumetric pipette has a single mark and delivers one fixed volume, which is why it's the standard tool for titrations. Graduated and serological pipettes are marked along the tube, so you can measure off any volume up to their capacity.
Class A volumetric pipettes, from 1ml to 100ml, have the tightest tolerance and suit analytical and university work. Class B costs less and is accurate enough for most school practicals. We carry Class B volumetric pipettes up to 100ml, graduated pipettes from 1ml to 50ml and serological pipettes from 0.1ml to 25ml, including OMSONS and JOANLAB borosilicate glass.
If the exact amount doesn't matter, the soda glass Pasteur pipettes (boxes of 200 or 250) and the 125mm glass dropping pipette with a rubber teat are cheaper. Never pipette by mouth: fit a pipette filler bulb or a pipette pump first.
