Heating Mantle Temperature Probes
A heating mantle temperature probe is a slim stainless steel sensor that plugs into a digital heating mantle and inserts directly into the reaction liquid, giving a true reading of the sample temperature rather than just the heater's own set point. This is what allows a digital mantle to hold a precise, repeatable temperature over the course of a reaction.
SmartLabs stocks replacement and compatible temperature probes for digital heating mantles in South Africa, so a worn or inaccurate probe does not mean replacing the whole unit. Keeping a spare probe on hand is a simple way to avoid downtime on an active mantle during reflux, distillation, or synthesis work.
