The Joanlab HS5C Temperature Probe is an external sensor used with the HS5C Digital Magnetic Stirrer to provide real-time, accurate monitoring of your liquid's temperature rather than just the heating plate's temperature.

Technical Specifications
  • Sensor Type: PT1000 resistance temperature detector (RTD).
  • Control Range: Capable of controlling liquid temperatures up to 280°C (536°F).
  • Accuracy: Offers high precision with a display accuracy of ±0.1°C and control accuracy of ±1°C.
  • Material: Typically features a stainless steel probe body for chemical resistance and durability.
Installation and Use
  1. Connection: Plug the probe into the dedicated external sensor port located on the rear of the HS5C unit.
  2. Mounting: Use the included stainless steel bracket and clamp stand to hold the probe securely in your beaker or flask.
  3. Positioning: Ensure the tip of the probe is immersed at least 20mm into the liquid and remains 5–10mm away from the vessel's bottom and walls to avoid false readings from the heating plate.
  4. Automatic Detection: Once connected, the digital display typically switches to show the "Actual" temperature from the probe (often indicated by a "PROBE" LED or icon).
