    A bascule bridge, the type with two hinged leaves that lift to let a ship through. Push the syringes and both halves rise together. It is one of the more ambitious builds in the range because the two sides have to move in step.

    What your learner works with

    • Two hinged leaves that have to lift evenly
    • A syringe and tubing circuit for each side
    • Towers carrying the pivot and the load
    • Bleeding air out of the lines, or the lift goes spongy
