I am extremely disappointed in the wire, because it is to be used to wind 4 stator coils for a project.. But this wire is hard drawn and makes it practically impossible to hand wind , let alone do tight windings, hardly possible. And the second problem is that There are no way to determine the length of the wire as this is critical information for me. I will have to un roll it, stretch it out and measure the wire. The price itself was very good which was the deciding factor to buy it, but I am sorry I bought it, it was a total waste of money for me. And the 3rd disappointment was the extreme shipping cost, which is way over priced, the breakdown as follows:

Therefore, as you can see, the shipping and taxes on top of the shipping above. There are many better priced couriers available such as Courier Guy, who would have done it at a fraction of this high price. I was not allowed to send my own courier. This is another FLAG. Why ?? Sorry Smart Labs, this was and still is an ongoing frustration for me.

Enamel Copper Wire
Enameled wire also known as Magnet wire is a copper wire coated with a thin insulation and is a principal component of transformers, inductors, motors, and other electrical devices. The enamel is typically a polymer film that provides a tough continuous layer of insulation. This also explains why you should use this type of wiring for building transformers, inductors and electromagnets. The enamelled copper wire is also useful because it can be soldered easily.
