Adapters, Gas Passing Tube

The Gas Passing Tube Adapter (also known as a Gas Inlet or Air Leak Tube) is designed for delivering gases or introducing air into reaction flasks. 

Please note the size of the flask will determine the length of the stem.

Design Features:

• Immersion Tube: Features a long glass tube that extends through the ground joint into the flask to deliver gas directly into the reaction medium.
• Side Connection: Typically equipped with a glass connection (hose barb) for secure attachment to external gas lines.

• Inert Gas Blanketing: Used to introduce Nitrogen or Argon into a reaction flask to create an oxygen-free environment.
• Gas-Liquid Reactions: Bubbling reactive gases directly into a solution.
• Vacuum Distillation: Acts as an "air leak" tube to provide a controlled bleed of air into a distillation setup, preventing bumping and regulating pressure
