Narrow neck rimmed flat bottom flasks (also known as Florence flasks) are versatile laboratory vessels designed for stability and controlled liquid handling. Unlike round-bottom flasks, they can stand independently on flat surfaces like hot plates or benches without additional support.

Used for heating in distillation or other reagent reactions. They are not as durable as round bottom flasks but don't have the sharp and vulnerable corners of an Erlenmeyer Flask. One neck with a rimmed opening at the tip. Flat bottom flasks come in many sizes from 50 ml to 20 L. Currently stocked from 50ml to 2 000ml larger capacity flasks can be supplied on request.

• Flat Bottom: Best for storage, mixing, and routine boiling on hot plates. They are easier to use in educational settings because they don't require clamps or cork rings to stand.
• Round Bottom: Preferred for distillation and reflux as the spherical shape provides more uniform heat distribution and greater pressure resistance.
