This wide field micrometer eyepiece is designed for the insertion of a micrometer (reticles) of once choice. The eyepiece tube connecting to the microscope is treaded on the inside with a screw in section that holds the eyepiece reticles (graticule) in place. Microscope micrometers are commonly used for measuring or counting specimens. Eyepiece micrometers (also referred to as "reticles") are small glass discs with markings on them that is overlaid over the specimen.
