Low-form glass weighing bottle used for the precise weighing of solid chemical samples. It is characterized by its cylindrical shape, flat bottom, and an interchangeable ground-in glass stopper that creates an airtight seal to prevent the sample from absorbing moisture or carbon dioxide from the air.

Key Features

  • Material: High-quality Borosilicate 3.3 glass, providing excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and thermal shock.
  • Form Factor: Low-form design (shorter and wider compared to the 1301 tall-form series).
  • Stopper: Equipped with a hollow glass pennyhead stopper or a standard ground-glass stopper for a secure, impermeable seal.
  • Temperature Resistance: Capable of withstanding a broad range, typically from -20°C to +150°C

Recommended Use

  • Precise Measurement: Specifically used for weighing hygroscopic (moisture-absorbing) materials that must be kept in a closed environment during the weighing process.
  • Sample Storage: The airtight seal makes these bottles suitable for the short-term storage of sensitive chemical powders or specimens.
  • Drying: Can be used in drying ovens to remove moisture from solid samples before weighing.
