OMSONS L-Shape Spreaders (also known as "hockey stick" spreaders) are precision laboratory tools designed for the uniform distribution of liquid cultures across the surface of agar plates. These are primarily used in microbiology for the "spread plate" technique.
Product Variations
OMSONS offers two main types of L-spreaders to suit different laboratory sterilization protocols:

Reusable Glass Spreaders: Manufactured from high-quality Borosilicate 3.3 glass. These can be sterilized by flaming with a Bunsen burner or by autoclaving.
- Design: Features a smooth, rounded surface to prevent gouging or cutting the agar medium during use.

- Disposable Plastic Spreaders: Often made from Polystyrene (PS) or Polypropylene (PP). These are supplied individually wrapped and pre-sterilized (usually via gamma radiation or E-beam), eliminating the need for autoclaving.

- Spreading Blade Width: Approximately 33 mm to 37 mm, suitable for standard 9 cm and 10 cm petri dishes.
