Minimu Maximum Thermometer - 40 to 50C

Maximum-minimum thermometer used to record the highest and lowest temperatures reached over a specific period. For an accurate ambient temperature reading from amaximum-minimum thermometer, shading and open airflow are the most critical factors. Proper placement ensures that ambient air changes are captured without localized heat artifacts skewing the recorded extremes.

North-Facing Wall: In the Southern Hemisphere, place it on a south-facing wall to keep it out of the sun all day. In the Northern Hemisphere, choose a north-facing wall.

How to Read This Thermometer

Left Scale (Minimum Temperature):

• The numbers on this side go downwards (increasing as you move down).
• Read the temperature at the top of the dark liquid column or the bottom of the indicator pin.
• In this image, the minimum temperature reads approximately 16°C.

Right Scale (Maximum Temperature):

• The numbers on this side go upwards (increasing as you move up).
• Read the temperature at the top of the dark liquid column or the bottom of the indicator pin.
• In this image, the maximum temperature reads approximately 14°C.

North-Facing Wall:

• In the Southern Hemisphere, place it on a south-facing wall to keep it out of the sun all day. In the Northern Hemisphere, choose a north-facing wall.

Away from Structural Materials:

• Do not bolt it flush against brick, concrete, or stone walls if they absorb direct sunlight during the day, as they radiate heat long after dusk. Mount it slightly away from the wall using spacers, or fix it to wood

Mount at Eye Level:

• Hang it between 1.2 to 1.8 metres (4 to 6 feet) above the ground. This keeps it accessible for readings and clears ground radiation zones
