A plastic measuring cylinder is a laboratory instrument used to measure the volume of chemicals and liquids accurately. This one is made of heavy-duty polypropylene plastic. It is a tall, cylindrical container with a tapered, non-drip spout for pouring and a graduated scale on the side to indicate volume.
The cylinder is transparent, with easy to read, raised graduations and specifications. It has very good chemical resistance and is autoclavable.
Polypropylene plastic can hold hot liquids but cannot be used over an open flame or electric hot plate. It should not be used with strong acids, strong bases or strong solvents that are known to degrade plastic. A chemical that is sold in a glass amber bottle may not be compatible with polypropylene plastic.
Specifications:
- Capacity: 10ml to 2000 ml
- Raised graduations (not coloured)
- Material: heavy-duty polypropylene (PP)
- Non-branded
- Withstands temperatures between -20°C and 121°C
- DO NOT heat over open flame
