What is the difference between surgical scissors and Mayo scissors?
Mayo surgical scissors are larger and heavier than operating scissors. They have longer blades that range from 14 to 25 cm (5.5-10 inches) long, and are used for heavier tissue dissection, such as cutting fascia, muscle or fur.
