This glass triangular spreader (also known as a Drigalski spatula) is a reusable microbiology tool used to distribute liquid bacterial cell suspensions or cultures evenly across the surface of an agar plate.
- Material: borosilicate 3.3 glass
- Sterilisation: autoclavable at 121°C, or flame-sterilised by dipping in 70-95% ethanol or isopropanol and passing through a Bunsen burner flame
- Design: the triangular head has a larger, flat contact area than L or T shaped spreaders
