Bunsen Burner Cartridge Type

This cartridge-type Bunsen burner head mounts directly onto a portable gas canister, most commonly the 190g pierceable (puncture) cartridge.

Key Features

• Flame control: A needle valve or gas control knob adjusts the flame height, and an adjustable air collar at the base switches between a yellow safety flame and a hot blue heating flame.
• Mounting: Made for pierceable cartridges, with retaining clips or a shroud that clamps around the canister's shoulder to hold it in place while a central pin punctures the seal.
• Portability: At roughly 130g to 220g, the head needs no fixed gas line, which makes it good for mobile lab setups or field work.
• Temperature: Reaches 1300°C to 1550°C, depending on the gas mix (butane/propane) and air setting.
• Design: A standard single vertical tube for general-purpose heating.

Important safety note: Once the head is attached and the 190g pierceable cartridge has been punctured, it can't be removed until the gas is completely used up, because these cartridges don't have self-sealing valves.
