A Long-Stem Straight Vacuum Receiver Adapter (also called a vertical vacuum take-off adapter) is a glass connector that allows for a direct, vertical path from a condenser or column into a receiving flask while under vacuum. Unlike the common 105° bent version, this adapter maintains a linear (180°) flow path.

  • Design: Straight (vertical) alignment with an outer socket at the top and an inner cone at the bottom (Female to Male Joint).

Why use a Long Drip Tip?
  • Deep Capture: In a Büchner vacuum flask, the side-arm of the flask is high up; a long drip tip ensures the liquid bypasses the flask's vacuum hole and drops directly into the bottom.
  • Reduced Loss: Minimizes "aerosolising" or splashing of the distillate, which is critical when collecting small volumes of expensive or volatile liquids.
