Borosilicate glass, low form graduated beakers with spout. These beakers are equivalent to leading brands in quality, durability and heat resistance.

Standard laboratory beakers, including the Omsons, have an approximate accuracy of ±5% of their total volume. Because of this tolerance, beakers are classified as non-volumetric glassware; they are intended for mixing, stirring, and heating rather than high-precision measurement.

Glassware Type  Typical Accuracy (Tolerance) Best Use Case
Beaker / Erlenmeyer Flask ±5% Mixing, heating, rough estimation
Graduated Cylinder ±1% Reliable everyday volume measurement
Volumetric Flask (Class B) ±0.4% to ±0.8% General solution preparation
Volumetric Flask (Class A) < ±0.2% High-precision analytical work

These beakers are suitable for heating on hotplates, autoclaving at 121°C, and managing aggressive chemicals.

Uniform walls provide excellent strength against breakage. Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point -515°C, Annealing Point 565°, Softening Point 820°C.

Specifications

  • Capacity: 5ml to 10 000 ml
  • Graduated: Dual scale Metric graduation. Graduated to the total volume of the beaker.
  • Graduated / Print: White printed and white graduation lines
  • Labelling Field: Includes a large, matte-finished labelling area for easy marking.
  • Material: Borosilicate 3.3 Glass. Uniform wall thickness provides excellent strength against breakage and ideal for heating liquids.Highly resistant to chemical attack.
  • Design: Low form with spout for easy pouring.
  • Uniform Walls: Manufactured with uniform wall thickness to provide mechanical strength and even heat distribution
  • Highly resistant to chemical attack.
  • Compliance: DIN 12331 an ISO 381

The above sizes may not be as per the official measurements as they are not Low Form Griffin Beaker. Standard Griffin beakers, including those from Omsons, are typically graduated from 20% to 80%. The above is graduate to the volume of the beaker. Thus, the beaker might be larger in physical dimensions.
