Big Capacity Pipette Pump (Red) - 0.1-100ml

This large-capacity pipette pump (red) works with 0.1 to 100ml pipettes and is a manual pipette controller for large-volume liquid transfers with volumetric or serological pipettes.

How to Use It

• Preparation: Squeeze the large rubber bulb at the top before attaching a pipette, to push the air out and create a vacuum.
• Attaching: Hold the glass or plastic pipette near its top end and carefully push it into the autoclavable silicone holder in the nose cone until it fits tightly.
• Filling:
  • Put the pipette tip into the liquid.
  • Slowly push the small thumb lever upwards or backwards.
  • The further you move the lever, the faster it fills, so a small movement gives fine control.
• Setting the volume: Draw the liquid slightly above the mark you need, then press the lever gently down to release the excess until the meniscus lines up with the mark.
• Dispensing:
  • Move the pipette to the target vessel, ideally holding it against the inside wall at an angle.
  • Press the lever down or forward to release the liquid.
  • Blow-out: For blow-out pipettes, press the separate blow-out button to expel the last drop.
