Compound Monocular School Microscope

This microscope is an intermediate monocular head student microscope with a coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs with a plain stage. The microscope is supplied as standard with two eyepiece, a WF10x/16mm and a WF25x/9mm eyepiece allowing for the microscope to have a total magnification of up to 1 000x magnification with the use of the 25x 9mm eyepiece. The microscope is fitted with 4x,10x,40x (Spring) achromatic objective, plan stage with clips and an LED light powered by external AC adaptor or by 3 x AA batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there two eyepieces?

The WF10x gives 40x, 100x and 400x. Swapping to the WF25x gives 100x, 250x and 1000x. The 25x is useful for a closer look, though without an oil immersion lens 1000x adds size rather than detail.

Which grades is it for?

Senior primary and high school classwork up to 400x. For matric Life Sciences practicals that need a true 1000x view, choose a model with a 100x oil objective.
