Kazumi-style siphon coffee is a premium Japanese-inspired brewing method that uses an all-glass vacuum system to create a clean, full-bodied cup. It is distinct for its "scientific laboratory" aesthetic and its use of a specialized glass filter and condenser.

Key Features of the Kazumi Siphon
  • All-Glass Construction: Every part—including the filter—is made from high-durability borosilicate glass, ensuring no paper, metal, or cloth ever touches the coffee.
  • G3 Ceramic/Glass Filter: Unlike traditional siphons that use cloth or paper, Kazumi uses a permanent glass or ceramic filter that allows natural oils to pass through while keeping grounds out.
  • Temperature Condenser: A unique glass condenser regulates water temperature to keep it just below boiling, preventing the "burnt" taste often found in high-heat brewing.
  • Stove Compatibility: It is engineered to work directly on gas, electric, induction, or open flame stoves without needing specialized alcohol burners. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Brewing Process (5–8 Minutes)
  1. Preparation: Add room-temperature water to the bottom flask and medium-coarse coffee grounds to the upper funnel.
  2. Heating: As water heats, vapor pressure forces it upward through the condenser and into the funnel to mix with the grounds.
  3. Extraction: The coffee brews in the upper funnel for about a minute. The "direct infusion" system ensures all water passes through the grounds evenly.
  4. Vacuum Drawdown: Once the heat is removed, the cooling flask creates a vacuum that pulls the brewed coffee back down through the filter, leaving the spent grounds above.
