Conical Flasks Polypropylene Plastic

This polypropylene conical flask has a screw cap and is transparent, with easy to read, blue printed graduations and specifications. It has very good chemical resistance and is autoclavable up to 135°C.

Polypropylene plastic can hold hot liquids but cannot be used over an open flame or electric hot plate. It is unsuitable for strong acids, strong bases and strong solvents that are known to degrade plastic. If a chemical comes in a glass amber bottle, it may not be compatible with polypropylene plastic.

Plastic conical flasks are used in laboratories for mixing, heating and storing solutions, and are especially useful in microbiology, cell culture and titrations. Their design suits swirling without spilling, and the plastic is a good choice where disposability, sterility or resistance to certain chemicals is needed.
