Care Instructions

Wipe the housing with a clean, damp cloth. Do not submerge the balance in water or use harsh chemical solvents. The stainless steel pan and draft shield (where fitted) are removable for easy cleaning. Store in a dry, level environment away from direct sunlight, heat and vibration sources. Do not exceed the maximum rated capacity, even though the ShockProtect feature helps guard against accidental overload damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the Core balance have a 3-year warranty when other Adam compact balances only have 2?

Adam Equipment backs the Core series with a longer standard warranty than its CB or Dune lines, likely reflecting its more rugged ShockProtect overload protection and industrial-grade build. It's the longest warranty in this compact balance range.

Can I stack multiple Core balances for storage?

Yes, but only the 120mm-pan models (200g, 250g, 600g, 1500g) stack on top of each other to save space. The 145mm-pan 2000g model can sit on top of a stack but you can't stack another balance on top of it.

What happens if I overload the Core balance?

It has a three-point ShockProtect feature built into the load cell, so accidental overloads are less likely to cause permanent damage. An audible alarm also warns you when capacity is exceeded.

Does the Core balance run on batteries or mains power?

Both. It comes with an AC adapter included, and also takes 6 x AA batteries for cordless use in the field or classroom.
