Distillation Kit - Chemistry

This chemistry distillation kit uses North America glassware joints.

The distilling flask is heated so that its contents are steadily vaporised by boiling. The vapour passes up into the column where, initially, it condenses and runs back into the flask.

The North America glassware joint is slightly different, as this area uses 'A' cones, which are sometimes referred to as 'TS' joints. These have the same XX value as Europe but different YYs. The most common versions are taken from a mix of the medium-length and full-length scales: 14/20 (A14), 19/22 (A19), 24/40 (A24) and 29/42 (A29).
