North America glassware joints chemistry distillation kit with North America glassware joint.

The distilling flask is heated so that its contents are steadily vaporised by boiling. The vapour passes up into the column where, initially, it condenses and runs back into the flask.

The North America glasswate joint is slightly different as this area uses ‘A’ cones but are sometimes referred to as ‘TS’ joints. These have the same XX value but different YYs to Europe. Most common versions are taken from a mix of the medium-length and full-length scales: 14/20 (A14), 19/22 (A19), 24/40 (A24) & 29/42 (A29).
