Dr. Schilling Burette - Class A

A Dr. Schilling burette is a specialised, automatic laboratory instrument designed for rapid, safe and highly repeatable titrations. It has an integrated self-filling design that eliminates the traditional, tedious method of pouring titrants from the top using a funnel: instead, the glass burette is mounted directly onto a flexible plastic reservoir bottle.

Squeezing the plastic bottle forces liquid up into the glass column, with any excess filled past the zero mark automatically draining back into the reservoir. A micro-screw or spring-loaded pinchcock/push-button valve typically gives exact control to dispense liquids drop-by-drop. It's often made from chemical-resistant Borosilicate 3.3 glass, with high-tier variants including an outer plastic coating for extra shatter protection.

The Schilling assembly is widely used across chemical, pharmaceutical and wastewater treatment laboratories, and is particularly favoured for field studies or industrial quality control lines. Because the system is entirely enclosed, it minimises laboratory exposure to hazardous chemicals, spills or volatile fumes.
