Electro Magnet Set - Nail, Paper Clip and Cable

A small set cosnsiting of 60cm Copper Wire 1 Iron Nail 3 Paper Clips 4 Wires to creat electromagnet magic, Wrap the copper wire (50-60cm) around the iron nail, leaving 2-3cm of wire at each end. Connect the battery base to the crocodile clips. Place the AA battery on the battery base and use the crocodile clips to complete the circuit. Watch as your iron nail becomes a magnet, picking up paper clips or interacting with the compass!

1. Step 1: Wrapping the Nail. Wrap the wire completely around the nail, but try not to overlap it on itself.
2. Step 2: Attach the Wire to the Battery. All magnets have a pole, either a positive or negative.
3. Step 3: Caution! Battery Can Get Hot!
4. Step 4: Test It! Using the nail you now have an electromagnet!
