This essential oil distillation kit has the glass parts you need to extract essential oils from plant material by distillation, built around a 2 000ml boiling flask. It's a glass essential oil distiller for small-batch production, product development and lab or teaching use.

What's in the kit

  • 2 000ml two-neck flat bottom flask, 24/40 joint
  • 2 000ml reservoir flask, 45/50 and 24/40 joints
  • Distillation head, 45/50 and 24/40 joints
  • Coil condenser, 24/40 joint, 300mm
  • Receiver funnel with PTFE (Teflon) valve and 24/40 joint

A hotplate isn't included. If your hotplate uses a thermometer, you'll also need a thermometer adapter.

A note on the joints: this kit uses North American joint sizes, sometimes called "A" cones or "TS" joints. The first number matches the European size, but the second (the length) is different. The most common North American sizes are 14/20 (A14), 19/22 (A19), 24/40 (A24) and 29/42 (A29), so check the joints on any extra glassware you plan to connect.
