Buchner Filtering Flasks - Heavy Wall, with PTFE Tubulation and Socket

These OMSONS heavy-wall Buchner filtering flasks have a PTFE tubulation and a ground glass socket. A Buchner flask is a heavy-walled conical flask made for vacuum filtration. Unlike a standard Erlenmeyer flask, it's built from reinforced glass to handle big pressure differences, with a precision-ground socket and side tubulation for the vacuum connection.

The ground glass socket on a Buchner flask does three things a plain-neck flask can't:

1. Airtight vacuum seal: Vacuum filtration needs a leak-free setup. A precision ground joint (like 24/29) seals far better with a matching funnel than a rubber stopper or bung.
2. Rigidity and alignment: Heavy Buchner funnels (especially full ceramic ones) can be top-heavy. A jointed connection locks them upright, so the funnel doesn't tilt or break the vacuum seal.
3. Contamination prevention: Rubber stoppers can degrade or leach chemicals with harsh solvents. A glass-to-glass joint (often with a thin layer of PTFE or vacuum grease) keeps the whole flow path chemically inert.

This design also makes the flask part of a modular "Quickfit" system, where condensers, separating funnels and other jointed glassware can be swapped in securely.
