Heating Mantle - No Thermometer

The JOANLAB HM heating mantle heats round-bottom flasks from room temperature up to 380°C, with electronic heat regulation. It has no temperature display, probe or stirrer. Choose the size that matches your flask, from 250ml to 10,000ml.

The heater is nickel-chrome resistance wire sealed in a high-temperature glass fibre insulation layer and woven into a hemispherical heater. It heats a large area quickly and evenly, with no open flame. The body is spray-coated cold-rolled steel sheet.

On first use the insulation gives off white smoke as its grease coating burns off. Let it run until the smoke stops before you heat a sample. Always pour the liquid into the flask before placing the flask in the mantle.
