Everyday analytical weighing, styled for easy reading

Adam Equipment's Luna range covers eight analytical balances from 80g to 250g, all reading to 0.0001g. Choose "e" models with external calibration against a certified weight, or "i" models that calibrate internally on their own.

A display you can actually read

White digits on a black background, 24mm tall, stay legible under most lab lighting. Colour-coded keys make the buttons you use most easy to find without looking twice, and a sealed keypad keeps dust and spills out.

Housing and draft shield

The ABS housing holds a grade 304 stainless steel pan, and the chamber-style draft shield has sliding glass doors that lift out completely for cleaning.

Getting data off the balance

RS-232 and USB ports handle the basics, and Adam Connect adds Bluetooth for printers and PCs that support it. Printouts carry the date and time automatically, which keeps records in line with GLP without extra steps.

Care Instructions

Wipe the ABS housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.
The stainless steel pan lifts out for separate cleaning. Dry it thoroughly before refitting.
The draft shield's sliding glass doors remove for cleaning, then slot back into place.
Keep the balance on a stable, vibration-free surface, away from direct airflow, sunlight and temperature swings.

What does 0.0001g readability actually mean in practice?

It means the balance can show changes as small as a tenth of a milligram, which is why analytical balances like this live inside a draft shield. At that resolution, even a puff of air from someone walking past or a slight breeze from an air conditioner can shift the reading, so where you place it matters as much as the balance itself.

Does it need to be recalibrated often, and can I do it myself?

This is an external calibration model, so you calibrate it using a certified reference weight rather than a built-in motorised system. A good habit is checking calibration at the start of each session, especially if the balance has been moved or the room temperature has shifted.

What's included, and does it need a stable bench?

You get the balance with its glass chamber draft shield, weighing pan, power adapter, and manual. It's worth putting it on a proper analytical bench or a sturdy, vibration-free surface, away from windows, doors, and direct airflow.

How do I clean it without damaging anything?

The stainless steel pan lifts out and can be wiped with a soft cloth and mild detergent if needed, just make sure it's completely dry before you put it back. Avoid spraying cleaner directly into the chamber or onto the keypad.
