The JOANLAB HS550Pro is a high-temperature magnetic hotplate stirrer: the plate reaches 550°C and it stirs up to 20 litres of water. You set the speed from 100 to 1,500 rpm in 10 rpm steps, and the temperature with the digital screen and knob. The display reads to 0.1°C, and the plate temperature is held to within ±1°C.

It uses a PT1000 temperature sensor, a brushless motor and a 184 x 184mm hot plate, with over-temperature protection built in.
