The MICROLIT RAMBO high precision 8-channel micropipette is a multi-tip liquid handling instrument that aspirates and dispenses micro-volumes of liquid across 8 channels at once. It's built mainly for high-throughput lab work such as filling 96-well microplates, and is widely used in diagnostics (ELISA), DNA amplification (PCR) and molecular screening.
Core Technology and Features
- μAir® technology: Microlit's signature feature. It minimises the internal "dead air space" between the piston and the liquid in the tip. Less air space means less air compression, which gives accurate, repeatable results even when room temperature varies.
- Ergonomic construction: The RAMBO range is designed to reduce hand strain, with a very light body, a large contoured grip and a soft-action spring in the plunger to help prevent repetitive strain injury (RSI) during long hours under a hood.
- Universal tip cone: The manifold is designed to fit most internationally standard third-party pipette tips, so you're not locked into one brand of tips.
- Fully autoclavable: The whole instrument can be safely sterilised in an autoclave at 121°C and 15 psi for 10 to 15 minutes.
Compliance and Calibration
Each pipette arrives pre-calibrated by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory and conforms to ISO 8655 standards. A calibration report and a user recalibration tool are included in every box for easy in-house quality checks.
