A peak flow meter is a small device that measures the amount of air a person can forcefully blow out of their lungs in one fast breath. It measures the airflow through the bronchi, and so the degree of obstruction in the airways.
The reading is one indicator of the airway changes that may occur in people with asthma or COPD. To get a peak flow meter, speak to a doctor.
