Bulb-type rubber pipette filler for pipetting noxious solutions, microbial suspensions and other harmful and unpleasant solutions. Consists of a bulb and three pinch valves controlling influx and efflux of the pipette contents. Bulb diameter: 54mm.

A 3-valve rubber pipette filler (or bulb) enables safe, accurate liquid handling in laboratories by controlling vacuum pressure through three check valves: A (Air/Evacuate)S (Suction/Fill), and E (Expel/Empty). It replaces mouth pipetting by creating a negative pressure to draw up liquid and a positive pressure to release it, ensuring chemical safety and precise volume control.

How the 3 Valves Work:

  • A-Valve (Air/Top): Press this valve and squeeze the bulb simultaneously to expel air and create a vacuum.
  • S-Valve (Suction/Bottom): Press this valve to create suction and draw liquid up into the pipette tip. This valve allows for filling the pipette slightly above the desired mark.
  • E-Valve (Expel/Side): Press this valve to release liquid from the pipette. It is used to adjust the meniscus to the precise mark and to empty the contents.

Steps for Operation:

  • Attach: Gently insert the top of the pipette into the bottom of the filler.
  • Evacuate (A): Squeeze the rubber bulb and press valve A to remove air.
  • Fill (S): Place the pipette tip into the liquid, then press valve S to draw up the liquid.
  • Adjust/Dispense (E): Move to the container, then press valve E to release the liquid.
  • Blowout: If needed, press E to expel any remaining liquid

One of the biggest limitations of natural rubber is its poor resistance to hydrocarbons, fats, oils, and greases. Contact with these substances can cause swelling, softening, or complete dissolution of the rubber part resulting in partial or complete failure.

Advantages of silicone rubber include thermal stability, insulation from electricity, seal formation, compression set resistance, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, sound and vibration dampening, the ability to repel water and its' natural flame retardant properties.
