The Adam Equipment PMB Moisture Analyser is a laboratory balance that gives you a faster alternative to traditional oven drying and Karl Fischer titration. It uses the loss-on-drying method, weighing and heating the sample at the same time with a 400 watt halogen bulb, and reports moisture content as a percentage without burning the material.

Available Models & Core Specifications

Key Features

  • Connectivity: Dual USB ports and an RS-232 interface let you connect to a computer or printer. You can also save data straight to a USB flash drive on the production floor or in the field, with no extra software needed.
  • Heating profiles: The halogen bulb heats samples from 50°C to 160°C in 1°C steps. It offers three heating options (ramp-up, stepped and single temperature) across four preset drying modes to suit different materials.
  • Memory: Stores up to 49 test recipes and 99 test results for quick recall.
  • Housing: A tough, scratch-resistant aluminium casing protects the weighing components in busy lab and factory settings.
  • Display: The large backlit LCD shows elapsed test time, chamber temperature and live weight or moisture results together.

Primary Applications

The PMB is used for quality control and testing across several industries:

  • Food and agriculture: Checking moisture in grain, dairy, spices and packaged food.
  • Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals: Keeping moisture consistent in creams, oils and makeup powders.
  • Industrial and building: Testing materials such as wastewater, sludge, cement and soils.
