Three balance families, one precision range

Adam Equipment's Polaris precision line covers PPB, PTB and PBB models under one range, so you pick a capacity rather than a separate instrument. PPB models (220g to 1620g, 0.001g readability) keep the full draft shield for bench-level precision. PTB models (2600g to 8200g, 0.01g readability) and PBB models (6000g to 16000g, 0.1g readability) drop the shield for an open top pan, so bulkier samples go straight on without lifting a lid first. Each model comes as either "e" (external calibration) or "i" (internal, self-calibrating).

Checkweighing without reading the numbers

The graphic LCD shows instructions, results and status as you work, and in checkweighing mode the backlight does the reporting for you: red for over, yellow for under, green when a sample sits within limits.

What holds it together

The pan is grade 304 stainless steel, set into a sealed ABS housing that shrugs off spills. "e" models calibrate against a certified external weight; "i" models carry their own motorised weight that recalibrates on a schedule, after a temperature change, or whenever someone triggers it manually.

The capacity spread, 220g up to 16kg, means the same balance line covers work that would normally need two or three separate instruments:

Keeping records without the paperwork

Up to 200 ingredients across 10 formulations (20 ingredients each), and up to 200,000 weighing results, sit in internal memory with GLP-compliant date and time stamps on every printout. RJ45 Ethernet, Bluetooth, RS-232 and USB cover the usual PC, printer and LIMS connections, and admin and operator permissions (one administrator, up to 99 operators) keep settings from getting changed by accident in a shared lab.

In the box

A stainless steel pan, in-use dust cover, weigh-below hook, power adapter and user manual come with every Polaris balance; PPB models add the removable draft shield. Adam Equipment covers the range with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Care Instructions

Wipe the ABS housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.
The stainless steel pan lifts out for separate cleaning. Dry it thoroughly before refitting.
On PPB models, the draft shield panels can be removed individually for cleaning, then reassembled in reverse order.
Keep the balance on a stable, vibration-free surface, away from direct airflow, sunlight and temperature swings.
Fit the supplied dust cover whenever the balance isn't in use.

What's the difference between PPB, PTB and PBB models?

PPB models (220g to 1620g, 0.001g readability) have a full draft shield and suit precision bench work. PTB models (2600g to 8200g, 0.01g readability) and PBB models (6000g to 16000g, 0.1g readability) use an open top pan instead of a shield, so you can load bigger samples faster, which suits batch prep and industrial weighing.
