Polypropylene Stopper

Extremely lightweight and durable polypropylene stoppers. Acid-proof and autoclavable. Polypropylene (PP) Stopper with a standard taper joint, specifically designed for volumetric flasks.

• 5ml, 10ml, and 20ml Volumetric Flasks (Class A or B).

1. Safety: No risk of broken glass if dropped.
2. No Seizing: PP does not stick to the ground glass neck of the flask, even when storing alkaline solutions (which often cause glass-on-glass joints to fuse).
3. Cost: Significantly more affordable for high-traffic student or commercial labs.

• Joint Size: 10/19 (Standard Taper).
• Material: High-grade Polypropylene (PP).
  • Unlike glass stoppers, these are unbreakable and won't "freeze" or jam in the neck of the flask.
• Design:
  • Hexagonal Head: Prevents the stopper from rolling off the lab bench when set down.
  • Vented/Hollow Bottom: Most Omsons PP stoppers are hollow to reduce weight and allow for slight expansion without popping out.
• Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to most acids, bases, and aqueous solutions. However, they can be affected by some strong organic solvents (like ethers or aromatic hydrocarbons) over long periods.
• Autoclavable: Can be sterilized at 121°C, making them reusable for sterile volumetric preparations.
