This British Association pattern rain gauge is built to meteorological standards and gives manual measurements of daily rainfall. It suits weather enthusiasts, farmers and research stations.

Features

• The cylindrical outer body (300 x 125mm) is made from sheet metal to stand up to outdoor conditions. It also works as an overflow chamber in very heavy rain.
• The funnel (250 x 125mm) catches rain over a standard surface area and channels it downward, which reduces evaporation loss.
• Rain collects in a narrower inner receiving cylinder (200 x 70mm). The narrower cylinder magnifies the water depth, so small amounts of rain are easier to read.
• The glass measuring cylinder is graduated from 0 to 10mm in 0.1mm increments (100 divisions), so you can read to a fraction of a millimetre.
