Root Tip Model, on Stand

This root tip model is a detailed, coloured 3D model on a stand that shows the inner anatomy and vasculature of a root tip. It is detailed both on the cross-section, which displays the inner root tip, and on the outside of the root tip, so the inner anatomy (vasculature, etc.) and the outer anatomy (root hairs, etc.) are both shown in detail.

• Inner anatomy: the vasculature (xylem and phloem) and other internal components, like the endodermis, within the root. The cross-section view shows how the different layers of the root tissue are arranged and how they function.
• Outer anatomy: the outer features of the root, including root hairs, which are vital for water and nutrient absorption. The external view demonstrates the structures that interact with the soil environment.

The sturdy model has hand-painted details in eco-friendly paint, and a numbered key card is provided to identify and learn the names of the different structures.
