The Solis range covers three tiers of precision weighing in one family: Semi-Micro balances for the smallest, most sensitive samples, Analytical balances for everyday lab-grade precision, and Precision balances for heavier loads that still need better-than-basic accuracy. All three share the same multilingual graphic display and weighing modes, so switching between models in the range doesn't mean relearning the balance.
Precision built for the lab, not just the classroom
Display and modes
Every Solis balance reads out on a high-resolution graphic display with 15mm-high digits, and shares the same feature set: checkweighing with an audible alarm, parts counting with preset sample sizes, percentage weighing, and dynamic weighing for unstable loads like animals or liquids. An optional density determination kit and password-protected security are available across the range.
Calibration and connectivity
The Semi-Micro models calibrate themselves automatically using an internal reference mass. Every other model in the range uses external calibration with a certified weight, sold separately. All models have a built-in RS-232 interface, with USB available via a separate adapter, and are Bluetooth-compatible through Adam Connect.
Where you'll actually use it
- Pharmaceutical research, development and quality control
- Chemistry and analytical laboratories, for compounding and formulation
- Science education, where genuine analytical-grade precision is needed
- Production and manufacturing quality control, using the Precision (SPB/STB) models for heavier samples
Choosing your model
Semi-Micro (dual-range, down to 0.01mg): the SAB125i weighs 62g/120g, the SAB225i weighs 82g/220g. Both live inside a full glass draft shield, since at this resolution even air currents move the reading. Choose Semi-Micro for the smallest, most sensitive sample work, such as pharmaceutical or trace chemistry.
Analytical (0.0001g readability): the SAB124e (120g), SAB224e (220g) and SAB314e (310g) sit a step below Semi-Micro precision but suit the everyday sample sizes most labs actually weigh. These also use the full glass draft shield.
Precision (coarser readability, higher capacity): the SPB363e (360g) and SPB723e (720g) read to 0.001g, while the STB3202e (3200g), STB6202e (6200g) and STB8202e (8200g) read to 0.01g on a larger platform. Choose Precision when you need to weigh heavier samples than Semi-Micro or Analytical models allow, without needing their extreme resolution.
