Spatula Micro Spoon - Stainless Steel

A stainless steel micro spoon spatula is a dual-purpose precision tool used in chemistry and biology labs for handling minute quantities of powders, granules or paste. It's designed to fit into narrow-necked containers like microtubes or small reagent bottles.

It has a dual-end design: the micro spoon is a small, shallow scoop for measuring out trace amounts of chemicals or transferring tiny samples into weighing boats, while the flat spatula is a narrow, flat blade (often with a rounded or square tip) for scraping, stirring or breaking up small clumps of material.

It's made from high-quality stainless steel, resistant to corrosion, most acids and extreme temperatures, in standard lab sizes ranging from 150mm to 210mm. Being stainless steel, it can be autoclaved or flamed for sterile work, such as in microbiology or tissue culture.

It's ideal for analytical weighing (adding or removing milligrams of a substance to reach a precise weight on a digital balance), microchemistry (where reagents are expensive or hazardous and only micro amounts are needed), and sample preparation, such as loading samples into melting point capillaries or small test tubes. To prevent cross-contamination, clean thoroughly with deionised water or alcohol between uses.
