This splash-proof bulb with standard ground joints (also known as a Kjeldahl bulb or splash head) is a safety part for distillation and nitrogen determination setups. It stops liquid droplets from the boiling flask carrying over into the condenser, where they would contaminate the distillate.

  • Interchangeable: The ground joints (for example 24/29) follow international standards, so the bulb works with glassware from other makers.
  • Material: Quality borosilicate 3.3 glass, with high resistance to thermal shock and chemical corrosion.
  • Design: A spherical or pear-shaped bulb with two built-in glass tubes. The inner tube is bent or baffled to trap splashes while letting vapour through.
  • Joints: Standard ground glass joints at the top and bottom for airtight connections.
