Trinocular Compound Light Microscope, 1000x Double Layer Stage

This general use microscope has a double layer mechanical stage with a Trinocular eyepiece head and uses a halogen lamp for illumination. The microscope is fitted with four achromatic objectives 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x (oil) that allows for user to magnify the specimen up to a total magnification of 1000x. The double layer stage allows for ease of movement and the microscope features a coaxial coarse and fine adjustment focusing range of 20mm. The phototube allows for the addition of a camera or digital screen.

What is the third tube on a trinocular microscope for?

It's a phototube. Fit a microscope camera or digital screen to it and you can photograph slides or put them up on a projector, while still looking through the eyepieces.

Does it come with a camera?

No, the camera is sold separately. Our microscope cameras and LCD screens fit the phototube.

How is it different from the Binocular 1000x microscope?

The optics are the same: identical objectives, stage, halogen light and 1000x maximum. The trinocular adds the camera port, so pick it if you want to show slides on a projector.

Do I need immersion oil?

Only for the 100x objective. The 4x, 10x and 40x lenses are used dry.
