Core Functionality

Proper Lab Setup
  1. Packing: Place a small plug of glass wool or cotton at the base of each arm to prevent desiccant particles from escaping or blocking gas flow.
  2. Filling: Add the desiccant into the U-bend, ensuring it is packed loosely enough to allow free gas movement.
  3. Connection: Use the side arms to attach rubber or silicone tubing, ensuring airtight seals with hose clamps if necessary.
  4. Monitoring: The clear glass allows for visual monitoring of desiccant saturation (e.g., silica gel changing from blue to pink).
