The PP White Wash Bottle is a chemically resistant squeeze bottle used for dispensing liquids and rinsing laboratory equipment. Polypropylene (PP) is a rigid, durable material that offers higher heat resistance than common LDPE wash bottles.
 
 
Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Daily Rinsing: Use warm water and a mild, non-alkaline detergent to remove residues.
  • Manual Washing: Clean with a soft cloth or sponge; avoid abrasive pads or stiff brushes that can scratch the plastic surface.
  • Drying: Air dry the bottle upside down to prevent moisture buildup and bacterial growth.
Sterilization
  • Autoclaving: These PP bottles are generally autoclavable at 121°C (15 psi) for 20 minutes.
  • Safety Precaution: You must completely loosen or remove the screw cap before autoclaving to prevent the bottle from collapsing or deforming due to pressure changes.
  • Cooling: Allow the bottle to cool fully before reattaching the cap to avoid permanent deformation.

Chemical Compatibility
  • Suitable Liquids: Ideal for distilled water, detergents, alcohols (ethanol, isopropanol), and most acids and alkalis.
  • Organic Solvents: PP has good general resistance, but avoid long-term storage of strong oxidizers or aggressive solvents like benzene, which can degrade the plastic over time.
  • UV Protection: The white (opaque) design provides better protection for light-sensitive reagents compared to translucent models.
